Wow. Not sure that any prose or pictures can really do justice to the magnificence of this morning. Watching the sun light up the 5 peaks of Kanchenjunga's range was completely spellbinding. For the first time the extent of its height above us was clear; we looked down from Reshap towards Pedong on the other side of the valley, and up to what appeared to be floating leviathans way, way up. Amazing.
Just as amazing was the fact that although the locals live here, they too, at 5.30 this morning were also all out staring in awe at a sight that they have no doubt seen a thousand times before.

Wow! Amazing! I'm loving the blog; it's great to be able to keep up with your adventures and live them vicariously through you. I'm glad you are having such a fantastic and productive time out there (although I would expect nothing less). Keep up the good work scoping out potential mountain biking trails...
